Connect to Database

This database is freely available to the general public via the Internet.

OpenDOAR is an authoritative directory of academic open access repositories. Each of these repositories collects, preserves, and disseminates the intellectual output of an institution via the Internet. Materials in a given repository can contain virtually any electronic file including article preprints and postprints, theses and dissertations, course notes, data and image collections, technical reports, and working documents.Note that our UB Institutional Repository managed by the University Libraries is listed. All UB-affiliated persons can deposit data, working papers, preprints, and publications (subject to one's author agreement/copyright terms.)

The one-pass search system across all documents in all repositories is based on Google Custom Search.

There is a browesable list of repositories arranged by country. Open DOAR also has an alphabetical by name repository list that can be searched or browsed. The characteristics of the various repositories, such as repositories by country can be viewed as statistical charts. A list of Updates and Additions is available.

For more information, visit About OpenDOAR and their FAQ.

OpenDOAR is one of the SHERPA Services including RoMEO and JULIET, run by the Centre for Research Communcations (CRC). Current development work is currently funded by JISC, with contributions from the CRC host organization, the University of Nottingham.
