Composer Morton Feldman (1926-1987) lived and worked in Buffalo from 1972 until his death in 1987. Feldman served as a Slee Visiting Lecturer (1972-73), Edgard Varèse Professor of Composition (1975-1987), Co-director of the Center of the Creative and Performing Arts (1976-1980), and Director of the June in Buffalo festival (1975-1980).
