Description

The Visible Body Human Anatomy Atlas 2017 Edition includes 3D models of the male and female, cross section, MRI scan, cadaver images, 3D moving models of muscles and bones, and more. Select any model to access definition, pronunciation, and disease descriptions. Create views into the human body and rotate and zoom into body regions. Dissect anatomy. See structures from all body systems and compare models side-by-side with cadaver images and diagnostic images. There is also a 1,000+ question test bank.

App

To get the Visible Body Human Anatomy Atlas 2017 app on your mobile device, follow the steps below:

  1. Check to make sure your device can support the app. For Apple devices, an iPad Pro, an iPad Air, an iPad Mini 2 or later, or an iPhone 5s or later is required. For Android devices, Android 4.0 or later is required.
  2. While on campus, be sure to use these links to get the app: App Store or Google Play. You should see the app for institutions, not the personal version.
  3. Install the app.
  4. You can use the app from any location for a period of 90 days. To continue using your app offline and off campus, open your Visible Body app on campus at least once every 90 days.
  5. Create a free account to use tours, favorites, and notecards features. (optional)

Computer version

To use Visible Body Human Anatomy Atlas 2017 on your computer, follow the steps below. Note that this is not a download! You will have to follow these steps each time you want to use Visible Body Human Anatomy Atlas 2017.

  1. Check to make sure your computer can support Visible Body Human Atlas Anatomy 2017. There are two versions of this application. The Web Player version provides faster access; it requires the Unity Web Player 4.3+ plug-in. The WebGL version does not require a plugin. There are different system requirements for the Web Player than there are for WebGL.
  2. Go to Visible Body Human Anatomy Atlas 2017.
  3. Log in with your UBIT name and password if you are off campus.
  4. Click the icon for Human Anatomy Atlas 2017.
  5. On the next screen, click Launch.
  6. Be patient while it loads! It may take a few minutes to initialize.
  7. Create a free account to use tours, favorites, and notecards features. (optional)

System requirements for Web Player:

  • Windows: 2 GB RAM, Windows 7/8/10, Dedicated video card with 64+ MB on-board RAM, Internet Explorer, Unity Web Player
  • Mac: 2 GB of RAM, Mac OS X 10.7 or newer, Dedicated video card with 64+ MB on-board RAM, Safari (v7 or below), Unity Web Player

System Requirements for WebGL:

  • Windows: 2 GB RAM, 64-bit Windows 7/8/10, Dedicated video card with 64+ MB on-board RAM, Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer (v11)
  • Mac: 2 GB of RAM, Mac OS X 10.7 or newer, Dedicated video card with 64+ MB on-board RAM, Firefox, Chrome, Safari (v8 or higher)
