CINAHL Plus Full Text is an expanded version of the original CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature). CINAHL provides authoritative coverage of the literature related to nursing and allied health. CINAHL also indexes publications of the American Nurses Association, the National League for Nursing and selected journals in the areas of consumer health, biomedicine, health sciences librarianship. alternative/complementary medicine, and primary journals in 17 allied health disciplines.   At UB, it is hosted on the EBSCO database platform, which offers the option to search either CINAHL or MeSH subject headings.

CINAHL Plus Full Text leads to citations to journal articles, healthcare books, eBooks, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of professional practice, educational software and audiovisual materials. It provides abstracts when available and full text for more than 5500 journals dating back to the 1930s. It contains Evidence-Based Care Sheets and Quick Lessons and includes a Cited References Search screen. Search results can be formatted in several popular styles, including APA.
