The Material ConneXion database features over 8,000 cutting-edge materials in eight categories, including sustainable materials. The categories are: Polymers, Ceramics, Glass, Metals, Cement-based materials, Natural Materials, Carbon-based materials, and Processes

The database includes high-quality photographs, company/vendor contact information, and provides users with the ability to search all of the materials by keyword, material type, manufacturer name, and manufacturer location.

The materials are chosen through a strict review process. Between 50 and 60 new materials are independently juried into the database every month.
