Connecting to the UB Libraries

The UB Libraries have a wide range of library resources and services available online. Our website is For help connecting from off-campus, consult our guide Login Help. To use the UB Libraries' resources, you will need your UBIT Name  and password.

Search the Libraries' Catalog

Find books, magazines, journals, microforms, and multimedia in the UB Libraries collections. The UB Libraries' Catalog will help you locate the items you need. Many items are available online.

If you need something that the UB Libraries do not own, you can request the material through Delivery+. You will have to come to campus to pick up books, audiovisual materials, or microforms borrowed for you from another library, but journal articles will be sent to you, electronically by mail.

Renewing/Returning Library Materials

Although you must come to campus to pick up your books, you may renew them online. Books borrowed for you from another library through Interlibrary Loan can also be renewed online using your Delivery+ account.

Electronic Course Reserve

Reserve readings for your course may have been placed online in Course Reserve.

Online Databases

We have more than 360+ databases to help you locate journal articles, book chapters, reports and more. The Research Tips page is useful for those new to the library research process.

Teach Yourself About the Libraries

You can teach yourself about the libraries from home with a little online help from us via the guides linked to from the UB Libraries Help A-Z index.

Pay a Visit to the Libraries

Although you can do much of your library research from home, we encourage you to visit the campus at least once during the semester to get individual, in-person help from reference librarians. For assistance, consult Directions to Campus, the UB Campus Map (use the links on the left to select a map) and our Schedule of Hours before coming to campus.
