Encyclopedia of Survey Research Methods by
Call Number: EbookTo the uninformed, surveys appear to be an easy type of research to design and conduct, but when students and professionals delve deeper, they encounter the vast complexities that the range and practice of survey methods present. The Encyclopedia of Survey Research Methods presents state-of-the-art information and methodological examples from the field of survey research. Although there are other "how-to" guides and references texts on survey research, none is as comprehensive as this Encyclopedia, and none presents the material in such a focused and approachable manner.

Research Methodology for Social Sciences by
Call Number: EbookResearch Methodology for Social Sciences provides guidelines for designing and conducting evidence-based research in social sciences and interdisciplinary studies using both qualitative and quantitative data. Blending the particularity of different sub-disciplines and interdisciplinary nature of social sciences, this volume: Provides insights on epistemological issues and deliberates on debates over qualitative research methods; Covers different aspects of qualitative research techniques and evidence-based research techniques, including survey design, choice of sample, construction of indices, statistical inferences and data analysis; Discusses concepts, techniques and tools at different stages of research, beginning with the design of field surveys to collect raw data and then analyse it using statistical and econometric methods.Defending Qualitative Research by
Call Number: EbookFocussing on the phases of qualitative research which precede and follow fieldwork - design, analysis, and textualization - this book offers new theoretical tools to tackle one of the most common criticisms advanced against qualitative research: its presumed lack of rigour. Rejecting the notion of "rigour" as formulated in quantitative research and based on the theory of probability, it proposes a theoretical frame that allows combining the goals of rigour and that of creativity through the reference to theory of argumentation. As such, it will appeal to scholars and students across the social sciences with interests in qualitative research methods.

Primary Research: Current Plans
- Current UB floor plansRESTRICTED ACCESS
UBIT name and password required to view the floor plans Access to the building floor plans is for use by authorized faculty or staff for university purposes only. Students can request access to the floor plans for work related duties ONLY. Requests for class projects where students require floor plan information are handled on a case by case basis.
Plans Required For a Class-Wide Project
Professors are required to contact Design and Construction when needing building information for students to complete class-wide assignments, rather than sending individual students to get the information. Professors complete the request to get information for a class.
Plans Required For an Individual Student Project
A professor must provide authorization for an individual student to get access to UB floor plans for a class related assignment. Once the floor plan request is received by Design and Construction, the student will be notified after the authorization is obtained.
