Description

Conditions A-Z is a patient-information tool created by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), a national medical organization representing family physicians, family practice residents and medical students. All of the information in Conditions A-Z has been written and reviewed by physicians and patient education professionals at the AAFP.

Common conditions, medical diseases, treatments and health tips (many available in Spanish) are presented alphabetically and can be searched in STAT!Ref online. Typically each entry includes: reviewed/updated and created dates, overview, symptoms, causes & risk factors, diagnosis & tests, treatment, questions to ask your doctor, and reference sources. Information can be printed and is for general educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for medical advice and may be out of date given the speed at which new medical information is generated.

The content of Conditions A-Z is intended for all individuals who are seeking reliable health information. Health content is written at a 6th to 8th grade reading level. Content written specifically for children and teens is also available.
