Confucius Reading Area

A sign has been placed in the East Asian Collection area on the third floor of Lockwood Library acknowledging the generosity of the UB Confucius Institute in regularly donating substantial numbers of Chinese-language material to the collection.  Honoring this commitment, the general area has been designated the Confucius Reading Area.  Books donated by the University’s CI, however, are inter-shelved with other materials.

Confucius Institute Videos

DVDs donated by the Confucius Institute to assist in the learning of the Chinese language as well as Chinese culture are now grouped together on a shelf in the Silverman Multimedia Center, third floor Capen Hall.  Language instruction, fictional material as well as documentaries are represented.   A sign with a portrait of Confucius identifies the location.
