Try a search like this one, where I narrowed the subject to "Constitutional Law" and sorted by publication date. You may use the filters in the left-hand column to narrow your results.

Articles & Treatises

There are many options to search law review articles and/or treatises that you are already familiar with: Westlaw, Lexis and HeinOnline.

  • Westlaw: Log into Westlaw Precision and choose Content Types --> Secondary Sources. From there, you have many options. I would recommend starting with the "Law Reviews & Journals" OR "Text and Treatises".  In each of these areas, you may filter by Topic; choose Constitutional Law to start and then broaden as needed.

  • Lexis: Log into Lexis+ and choose Content --> Secondary Materials. Similar to Westlaw, I would recommend starting with "Law Reviews and Journals" OR "Treatises, Guides & Jurisprudence". In each of these areas, you may filter by Practice Area; choose Constitutional Law to start and then broaden as needed. Alternatively, on the landing page, you may choose Topics-->Constitutional Law. This is an annotated guide to constitutional law issues and includes cases and secondary materials.

  • HeinOnline: Log into HeinOnline and choose the U.S. Supreme Court Library. I would recommend viewing all titles, and then sorting by subject: US Supreme Court Library, sorted by subject. The scope of Hein is broad. For example, when I clicked the link, and then chose "Bankruptcy", I was able to view CRS (Congressional Research Service) Reports and the transcript of an 1824 argument before the Court.
