As part of the Web of Science Core Collection, the Current Chemical Reactions (CCR) database reports over a million synthetic methods from over 100 of the world's leading organic chemistry journals. Each reaction provides complete reaction diagrams, critical conditions, bibliographic data, and author abstracts. The database is text- and substructure-searchable. It serves as both as a reaction database and a current awareness tool.

CCR should always be searched simultaneously with Index Chemicus. Note that reaction schematics from CCR and compound structures from Index Chemicus are appended to the same literature record.
