Most trials are rated using the PEDro scale (partitioned) http://www.otseeker.com/Info/pdf/PEDro-Scale-partitioned-jul2013.pdf. Points are allotted for study methodology such as randomization, concealed allocation, single blinding, double blinding, and others.
