Week One

As we begin the semester, here are a few tips to help you be successful:

  • UB Seminar To-Dos: Attend class regularly, review your syllabus for assignments and deadlines, complete all readings/assignments on time and participate in discussions. NOTE: This course is a degree requirement, and if you do not successfully pass the course this fall, you must repeat in summer or winter.
  • Your Schedule: Need to adjust your class schedule? Check with your advisor first! Use the Navigate app to connect with your academic advisor. Most advising offices have walk-in hours during the first week.
  • Drop/Add Deadline: The drop/add deadline for fall 2021 courses is Tuesday, Sept. 7. You will not be able to make changes to your fall enrollment after this date.
  • University Vocabulary: Check out this glossary of common UB terms.
  • Student Guide: This resource provides everything you need for life outside the classroom, including details about the UB campus and community.
