Description
The Social Science Research Network (SSRN) is devoted to the rapid worldwide dissemination of social science research. Scholars also use SSRN to receive prepublication comments from their peers. SSRN is made up of a number of specialized research networks in each of the social sciences. University at Buffalo subscribes to the following networks:
Accounting Research Network (ARN)
Economics Research Network (ERN)
Entrepreneurship Research & Policy Network (ERPN)
Legal Scholarship Network (LSN)
Political Science Network (PSN)
Each network encourages the pre- and post-publication distribution of research by publishing submitted abstracts and by soliciting abstracts of top quality research papers around the world. Articles can be searched or browsed by subject.
The SSRN eLibrary consists of
Abstract Database: contains abstracts of over 206,600 articles contributed by scholars worldwide. Information includes complete title, author contact and affiliation information, abstract or description, distribution history in SSRN and print journals and availability of the full text of the article from the Electronic Paper Collection.
Electronic Paper Collection: a collection of files containing full text of over 167,600 working papers in downloadable Acrobat PDF format. Also included are research papers from many Fee Based Partner Publications.
Author Home Page: The Public Abstract Page presents an Author Home Page link for each author, and can be accessed by clicking on the name of the author anywhere it appears as a hot link in the SSRN system. Each Author Home Page contains complete affiliation and contact information; current list of abstracts and full text documents available in the SSRN database, and current download counts for papers with full text documents.
