- Open Government of Canada. Search more than 80,000 active datasets, including data formerly housed in GeoBase.
- Natural Resources Canada. Main site for cartographic and geo-spatial data (similar to the USGS). Natural Resources Canada features research and policy initiatives in forestry, Earth sciences, energy, and minerals and metals. Departments and thematic divisions of NRC provide maps and data. Some of these are:
- Atlas of Canada. Maps, geographical features data, GIS data sets, outline maps, and more. Also has archive of the first five editions of the National Atlas of Canada.
- Canada Centre for Remote Sensing (CCRS/NRC). All forms of remote-sensing data (satellite and radar imaging). Selected links include:
- Centre for Topographic Information. Canada's Topographic Map Service, similar to the USGS.
- Toporama. Search the database by NTS number, geographical name, geographic co-ordinates, or using a clickable map interface to locate any National Topographic System map sheet and its metadata (information about the map sheet) for any part of Canada.
