Homecoming: Home
Homecoming is a celebration that welcomes UB alumni back to their alma mater and often marks the return of the football team from a series of away games. The earliest mention of a UB Homecoming game in the University Archives' records can be found in the student newspaper The Bee. An article in the November 6, 1924 issue with headline Letter Men Need Help to Rally Old Grads for Homecoming reads in part "The members of the Block 'B' club are working to make this a red letter day for...the alumni, the students and the University." Sadly, UB lost this game to Hobart 13-6.
This site serves as a guide to the history of Homecoming at UB. Its photos, film footage and facts about UB Homecoming were gathered from the University Archives' collections of yearbooks and student newspapers, as well as our photograph, film and athletics history collections.
