Virtual Stress Relief: Home
Welcome to Virtual Stress Relief
While we may not be able to have our usual Stress Relief events on campus this semester, we still wanted to share some stress-relieving activities and resources with you as we approach the close of the semester.
We can't have Stress Relief without the SPCA's Paws for Love volunteers, but we can still share those pets that help relieve our stress at home.
Take a look at all these good boys and girls and share yours on the Padlet board below!
Kittens!
Check out the other live streams from Explore.org for more kitten activities (and other animals too)
Good dogs

Always dapper, Jeeves is proud of this hat!

Sadie
Sadie is a 10 year old coon hound/dachshund mix adopted from the SPCA (rescued from Ohio). Sadie loves all people and animals except her mortal enemy the rabbit who lives under the shed. She also loves napping on the couch and snoring while we work from home.

Luna
Luna is a 4.5 month old schnauzer mix puppy rescued from West Virginia. She loves playing, eating literally anything she finds (especially leaves!), her many, many dog toys, and annoying, I mean playing, with her dog sister, Sadie. She also enjoys sleeping on her back with her head hanging precariously off the edge of the couch.

Hank
Hank is an almost-three year old goofy boy, bursting with exuberance over just about everything.
Likes: Barking at nothing, playing tag with his sister Lacey, chasing the hose when his humans water plants.
Dislikes: the vacuum, baths, and not being involved in everything (FOMO!)

Lacey
Lacey is a sweet, doe-eyed hound mix, turning 2 at the end of April!
Likes: Snuggling with her humans, going on runs and walks, chasing squirrels and rabbits in the yard (and sometimes catching them).
Dislikes: Water (sprinkler, lakes), sharing food with her brother Hank, getting her nails cut.

Bodhi
Bodhi is a "dignified senior fellow" at around 12 years of age! He likes napping, leisurely walks, having his people home with him, and snacks. He does not like closed doors, being home alone, nor being ignored.

Astro
Hi, I'm Astro Sullivan. My parents are now empty nesters and ready to travel the world, as soon as the world is ready. When I was a huge part of daily family-life, I liked to chase bird shadows in my backyard. One of my mom's students once slipped this photo of me into the end of their group class presentation with the caption, "Got Questions?" I have my own website. My brother Alex is a NY State Police doggie.

Merlin
This is Merlin. He likes green beans, snuggles, kicking around his food bowl, and barking at trash cans. He hates when people have the nerve to walk by the house, and when the mail comes. He’s a cliche, but a very sweet cliche.

Riker
Likes: Exploring strange new worlds, sunbeams, string cheese, and bananas.
Dislikes: Wearing clothes, rain, and lawn mowers.

Logan
This is Logan. His favorite things are his chew toys, his tennis ball, and treats. Loves treats. Also his ears get flipped over sometimes but he don't care.

Charley
This is Charley. He's a three-legged, heartworm-beating pupper originally from Memphis. Likes: Snow (eating it mostly), treats, food, chewing on sticks. Dislikes: Sharing anything, being moved when he's comfortable, that one demon dog that walks by the house.

Connor loves going for walks, getting belly rubs and playing with his toys. Between shifts of window watching, he likes to check in on his humans as they work from home. Connor is not a fan of puddles, carrots or squirrels.

Daphne
This is Daphne. She will be two in May. She failed her Therapy Dog test in April because she thinks everyone needs hugs and kisses. She has been our therapy through these last several months. She requires many walks every day along with a good game of fetch. Hopefully soon she can go back to the dog park and visit her friends.

This is Zoey and she loves belly rubs!

Chiquita
Chiquita is an 8 year old doggo who might seem small, but trust me, she packs a big bark! She is an opportunist, always sneaking the strangest things into her crate when no one is looking. She was "given away" when someone decided they wanted a bigger dog. In this picture, she was much younger and was able to fit into a reindeer costume.
Likes: Cherry tomatoes, her friend Skyler who moved away :-(, her friend Sam Dog, dogs that are bigger than her, and snuggles.
Dislikes: Charley stealing her toys/food/everything, not being the center of attention, the demonic dog that walks by the house sometimes, and being alone.

Jenna
This is Jenna. She is a mill rescue and a bit daft.

This is Herbert! Herbert is a loveable boy likes to cuddle, take naps, and sunbathe. He really enjoys the duty of guarding his block by window watching and barking at any dog or human walking past his lawn. Birds & squirrels also beware!

Casey
Casey is a 16 year calico cat rescued as a kitten from West Virginia. She loves sleeping, sleeping, sleeping, and giving death glares to the new puppy, Luna.

Caleb and Simba
Caleb (about 6) and Simba (about 12 or 13) have been buddies since the first day we brought Caleb home to the rescue room. Simba sat on his side of the screen door, just waiting until Caleb was ready to join the household, and then took him under his wing, schooling him in the household routine and of course making sure Caleb knew Simba was the "alpha" cat. In all my years of rescue, I've never seen two cats instantly bond like that - it's like Caleb was Simba's long lost brother. They love hanging out and napping. Simba LOVES food, and Caleb LOVES cuddles - especially sleeping in your lap.

Stosh and Sophia
Meet Stosh (tabby) and Sophia. They were adopted together and are best buds. Stosh likes belly rubs and climbing over the back of Mom's chair for snuggles while she's working. Sophia is a shy girl who sets firm boundaries on snuggles with her humans. It's all on her terms (as is only proper). They both love canned food, treats, and talking to the birds who taunt them from outside. They dislike the current federal administration because it makes Mom yell.

Chloe
Chloe is an 8 year old black and white and calico kitty who was found in a barn with a brand new litter of kittens. All of her kittens were named after mixed drinks (Cosmo, Martini, Margarita, etc.) and promptly adopted upon being found and cared for. Chloe was all alone and we just couldn't have that! Although she is mostly adorning a solemn look, she has the utmost affection for her family...well except for her doggo sister Chiquita.
