Description

Pharmacology World is a series of educational videos about the fundamentals of pharmacology with information needed to understand how drugs work, breaking down complex information into a clear and approachable visual format. It covers all major drug classes and includes mechanism of action, key pharmacokinetics, major therapeutic uses, and common/serious adverse effects. Videos range from 7 to 30 minutes in length depending on drug class.

Pharmacology World can be used to supplement course lectures, as well as prepare for national licensing or course exams. Content includes coverage on the following pharmacological topics: basic concepts, cardiovascular, renal, central nervous system, endocrine, gastrointestinal, infectious disease, respiratory, allergy, pain, inflammation, immune system, and more.

Mobile App

To use the mobile app, you will need to set up access and renew every thirty days.
1. Open Pharmacology World through the UB Libraries.
2. Click on Profile above the search bar.
3. Select Register and enter your information and UB email.
4. Once registered, open the Profile page.
5. Click the Activate button. You will then see when your account will be active until.
6. Download and open the Stat!Ref app from your app store.
7. Login with your UB email and the password you created when registering.
