Using federal law as a model, the book describes and illustrates the formal rules and informal practices governing prosecutors and defense attorneys at each state of the process from the decision to charge to disposition by trial or plea. This book was written to bridge the gap between the literature available to students interested in criminal procedure doctrine and/or the practice of criminal law. In addition, this book was recommended by a UB Law student who thought it would be very helpful to first-year law students who may be spending their first-year summer in a prosecutor's office (state or federal)

Conference of Western Attorney Generals
CWAG is an independent non-partisan association of state Attorneys General from 15 western states and three Pacific territories. Its primary function is to provide a forum for chief legal officers of the member states to cultivate knowledge, cooperate on concerns and coordinate actions that improve the quality of legal services available to members. Common areas of interest to the west include: water, fish and wildlife, public lands, energy, minerals, environmental protection and Indian law. In a periodic CWAG Round-up, CWAG communicates with its member Attorneys General, state AG staff, friends and supporters with news and information relating to those offices, western issues and other matters involving state government that would be of interest to state AG's. This may be a useful resource for information for those who follow the work of state Attorneys General.
