Theatre - Finding Monologues, Playscripts, and Dialogues: Finding Books

Last Updated: Apr 19, 2024 4:34 PM

Searching the UB Catalog

You can use the UB Everything search to find monologues, dialogues, and playscripts. If you are looking for a specific play, type the title into the Everything search. If you only want the text, you can limit the search results by selecting Books under Content Type on the left side of the screen.

To find compilations of monologues or dialogues, you can do a subject search for "monologues" or "dialogues," as shown in the links below.

Using Delivery+

If an item you are looking for is not available online, you can submit a Delivery+ request for pick up or delivery. If an item in the Everything search results says "Check for request options," you will need to request the item through Delivery+.

To request an item through Delivery+, go to the item's record and look for "Request" or "How to request it." Then, select the appropriate request type. You will need to sign in using your UB credentials if you are not already signed in. For detailed information on Delivery+, see here.

Browsing In Person

If you want to browse the collection in person, many monologue compilations have call numbers beginning with PN2080. This page provides information on where materials are located in Lockwood Memorial Library by call number.
