The site offers course outlines and pedagogical units. - Race and Deaths in CustodyThis website contains case studies of Indigenous, Black and racialized peoples who have died in state custody in countries of the global North. From people shot by police, to those who die in immigration detention, all meet an untimely end, their deaths declared natural or justifiable. We analyze these deaths in custody to reveal their racial underpinnings.
