- Animal Pain Management CenterLocated in the Amherst Small Animal Hospital on Kensington Ave. in Snyder. Dr. Bob Stein practices complementary veterinary medicine, offering treatments like acupuncture, herbal, and myofascial therapies in addition to traditional western veterinary methods.

- Animal Health LiteracyInformation from the FDA includes pets and food safety, animal drugs, aquaculture and other general information. Some video links.
- CDC Healthy Pets, Healthy PeopleEducates the public about the value of having a pet, research before choosing a species, as well as being aware of zoonotic diseases and issues with specific species such as reptiles and amphibians. Main page lists current outbreaks and news. An A-Z index as well as sections targeted to vets, healthcare, infants, and organ transplant patients. Noteworthy link to the One Health initiative.
- Cornell Feline Health CenterAn index of feline health topics covers everything from Aging to Respiratory Issues to Zoonoses. Access to the CatWatch Newsletter, a variety of brochures, and their unique consultation service for questions not covered.
- MedlinePlus Pet HealthGood collection of links to a wide variety of topics that affect pets in the home. Part of MedlinePlus "Health Topics" list under "Population Groups". Keyword search using "Pet Health" produces an indexed layout to more easily focus on your topic, with links to articles in the main results list. Note the related topic link to Animal Diseases and Your Health.
- Merck Veterinary Manual - Pet Health & WellnessPart of the professional Merck Veterinary Manual, the Pet Health and Wellness section is geared specifically for home care of animals including horses, birds, and other pets. Extra features include test-your-knowledge boxes with various topics, and A-Z index as well as keyword search, and Infographics illustrating whether a dog needs a heartworm test, canine influenza, dog bites, and other information. The entire veterinary content is also available to the public.

Keyword search can be limited by category.

- Accredited Colleges of Veterinary Medicine from the American Veterinary Medical AssociationInternational list of accredited colleges of veterinary medicine. Veterinary colleges and veterinary practices often provide information to their clients, especially if the colleges have a teaching vet hospital or clinic. The links of the U.S. veterinary schools below were discovered through the respective websites. Check your local vet practice web sites as well.
- North Carolina State VetMed LibraryLovely librarian generated list of information resources for vets and consumers that are freely available outside academia, including open access, trade magazines, and databases.
- UC Davis School of Veterinary MedicineOrganized by animal groups - cat, dog, horse, exotics, and livestock, as well as keyword and listed topic search. The Health Topics Complete tab brings up a list of "latest news" articles to browse.
- University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical CenterA list of client handouts that include specific information for the center, but also other helpful broad interest topics like pet sunburn, coping with the loss of a horse, oncology, and zoonotic diseases.
- Texas A&M University Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical SciencesExtensive list of articles ordered by descending date of publication, but worth browsing as they cover a wide variety of topics. Crate training, feeding pets people food, pet pigs, mushroom poisoning, fireworks, and much more. Dates published go back to 2007.
- Washington State University College of Veterinary MedicinePet Health Topics accessible via the usual A-Z list, as well as category. Separate section on anatomy of the dog and cat. Of note: Bunny care, Lyme disease, Nail trimming, antifreeze poisoning, feeding a previously starved dog, salmon poisoning, and more.,
