Description

Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) is a component database of the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC). ESCI extends the cover-to-cover journal indexing found in WOSCC to over 7,800 peer-reviewed journals of regional importance and in emerging scientific fields. Article records include all authors and their addresses and cited reference indexing.

When certain journals prove to be among the more highly cited titles, they will be considered for inclusion in the long-standing Science, Social Science, and Arts & Humanities Citation Indexes.
