A New Home for the President

In 1967, UB purchased the main house of the Darwin D. Martin House complex as the President's residence for Martin Meyerson.  The house would later serve as the home of the University Archives and the Alumni Association.

Freshman Orientation

Freshman Orientation marks the beginning of each school year.  In this photo, many of the attendees have decided to forgo the traditional freshman beanie.

Buster VI

Buster the sixth, UB's last live bull mascot and his handler, August 24, 1970

Buster VI was UB's last live bull mascot.  A descendant of the original Buster (gifted to UB by Elizabeth Taylor and Mike Todd in 1957), Buster VI was brought to UB football home games throughout the 1970 season.

Spring Weekend

Once called Moving Up Day, Spring Weekend is a UB tradition that dates back to 1922.  A parade float competition, the naming of the Spring Weekend Queen and other competitions took place during Spring Weekend.
