Campus Unrest - Spring
(Image ID: UA_90A_13_4)
Some of the most intense protests in UB history took place in March 1970. When Acting President Peter Regan called on the Buffalo Police to help enforce a New York State Supreme Court injunction against protests at UB, 400 officers began an around-the-clock occupation of the campus. In response, on March 8, over 2,000 students and faculty marched through campus in a peaceful protest.
