Last Updated: Jul 18, 2024 11:26 AM

All Delivery Options

The Delivery+ Service offers several pickup and delivery options. Please use the tabs above for more information about each option.

For all digital material, such as book chapter scans or journal articles, you will receive digital delivery to your UB email.

For physical items, you can:

  • Pick up your book on campus in a library from a hold shelf
  • Pick up your book on campus from an express pickup locker outside of the library
  • Have your item delivered to your home
  • Have your item delivered to your office

Digital Delivery

You will receive digital delivery for any item that is available electronically. This includes:

  • book chapters
  • journal articles

When an electronic item is ready, you will receive an email with a link to view the item in your library account page.

Email stating there is an Electronic Item Ready for Viewing

When clicking on that link, you will be directed to your library account at library.buffalo.edu. You may be prompted to login if you are not already signed in. Upon signing in you will be taken to a page listing all of the articles you've received within the past 30 days. You are able to click "view" you see the article. At this point you may save it to your personal computer. Articles and book chapters are deleted from the library's computer servers after 30 days, so please download the PDF to your personal device as soon as possible.

Personal Delivery for Students

All students have two addresses in your HUB Student Center, permanent and local. For some students who live in Buffalo year-round, these are the same. However, if you are not local to Buffalo you will likely have two different addresses:

  • Permanent: your home outside of Buffalo
  • Local: a dorm or apartment near Buffalo. This may be a duplication of your permanent address.

When choosing a personal delivery option, be sure you are selecting the right one! When sending items for personal delivery, our library software pulls the address from your HUB account. Please be sure your addresses are up to date before placing a personal delivery request.

To have a book delivered to your permanent address, choose "Permanent (Student)" (below in green). To have a book delivered to your local address, choose "Local (Student)" (in red below). Please double check your choice before hitting submit!

Personal Delivery for Faculty & Staff

Faculty and Staff may choose to have their items delivered to their on campus office or their home address. When sending items for personal delivery, our library software pulls the address from your HR file. Please note updating your address in the online directory does not update your address with HR. To change your home or office address, please contact your departmental secretary, Human Resources officer, or visit the Administrative Services Gateway.

To have a book delivered to your office, choose "Office (Faculty)" (in red below). To have a book delivered to your home, choose "Home (Faculty)" (in green below).
